Ⅰ、Introduction:


MLSYJ-XX vibration string-type piezometer ,also known as a pore water pressure gauge, is a pressure sensor capable of monitoring both groundwater levels and ambient temperatures at the installation point. It features stable performance, high sensitivity, and compact dimensions, with a robust and aesthetically pleasing stainless steel housing. Primarily designed for automated monitoring, it can be adapted for use in pressure-measuring pipes or foundation boreholes with the addition of compatible accessories.


Ⅱ、Overview:


The vibration string-type piezometer primarily consists of a stainless steel protective tube, coil frame, pressure-receiving diaphragm, and high-strength steel wire. Within the vibrating-wire piezometer is a highly sensitive pressure-receiving diaphragm, to which a high-strength steel wire is fixed. The other end of this steel wire is secured to the coil frame. During operation, pressure variations on the diaphragm cause deformation. This minute displacement alters the tension in the steel wire, thereby affecting its vibration frequency. By measuring changes in oscillation frequency, pressure variations on the diaphragm can be converted and calculated. The square of the vibration frequency is proportional to the pressure on the diaphragm. The vibrating-wire piezometer employs an excitation circuit to drive the sensor coil. When the excitation signal frequency approaches the natural frequency of the steel wire, the wire rapidly reaches a resonant state. After the excitation signal is removed, the wire continues to vibrate at its natural frequency for a period of time. The monitoring circuit of the data acquisition instrument filters, amplifies, and shapes the induced signal generated by the vibration before collecting it. By measuring the pulse period of the induced signal, the vibration frequency of the wire can be determined.
