The KTF Slider Displacement Sensor is primarily used in adhesive tape machines for processes such as coating, lamination, winding/unwinding, roller gap adjustment, cutting, and die-cutting of protective films, double-sided tapes, foam adhesives, conductive adhesives, etc. As a linear displacement feedback component, it converts mechanical position into standard electrical signals (0–10V / 4–20mA / RS485) in real time and transmits them to the PLC, enabling closed-loop automatic control. Its specific functions are as follows:
Coating Roller Gap Adjustment: Monitors the opening and closing stroke of upper and lower coating rollers to precisely control adhesive layer thickness. Stable gap directly determines coating uniformity, eliminating issues such as uneven edges, missed coating, or adhesive overflow.
Winding/Unwinding Misalignment Detection: Tracks the movement of the alignment frame and works with the misalignment system to prevent substrate deviation, avoiding inconsistent tape width and edge wrinkles.
Laminating Roller / Bonding Roller Stroke Control: Controls laminating pressure gaps to ensure tight bonding of multiple layers without bubbles or delamination.
Cutting Platform / Die-Cutting Station Positioning: Enables fixed-length cutting and segmented die-cutting, ensuring consistent finished product dimensions.
Tension Mechanism Travel Feedback: Captures the position of tension idler rollers to assist in constant-tension control, preventing substrate stretching or deformation.
Selection and Installation Notes:
1. Range Selection: Choose a range with 15% buffer beyond the actual maximum stroke to avoid damage from overtravel.
2. Installation Orientation: Install with the dust-proof port facing downward to minimize internal contamination by adhesive mist.
3. Recommended Measurement Points: Preferably use KTF encoders for coating roller gaps and misalignment mechanisms.
4. For applications with particularly severe adhesive mist, an optional simple dust cover can be added to further extend service life.
