Application of Wire/Rope Sensor in High Support Mold Monitoring System

With the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the acceleration of urbanization, the construction of large and complex engineering projects is increasing day by day. The high formwork system, as a supporting system for such engineering templates, has been widely used. However, due to the diversity, complexity, and high risk characteristics of high formwork systems, in recent years, collapse accidents of high formwork systems have occurred frequently, seriously threatening the construction safety of large buildings and receiving widespread attention from all sectors of society.

High formwork is mostly used in the cast-in-place and maintenance stage of tall buildings and bridges (concrete). Concrete cast-in-place is formed in one go, so the stability of high formwork is the guarantee of the quality of bridge buildings.

During the concrete pouring process, the high support formwork continuously bears loads, making it difficult to achieve comprehensive monitoring manually. However, using a high support formwork online monitoring system can ensure the safety of personnel. At the same time, data can be uploaded in real-time from all directions to monitor the tilt, load, and displacement of the high support formwork during the concrete pouring process, providing a reliable guarantee for safety. The Mirang products used include the following:

1、The wire displacement sensor is used for panel settlement monitoring in high support formwork safety monitoring engineering. It monitors the vertical and horizontal displacement of the formwork and can be connected to a data acquisition device to transmit the measured data to the acquisition device.


2、The load sensor is used for monitoring the axial force of the neutral pole in high formwork safety monitoring engineering, measuring the pressure applied by the panel on the upright pole. The load sensor is installed between the adjustable support of the upright pole and the panel or beam. The load sensor should maintain close contact with the upright pole, panel or beam, and the contact surface should be flat and sturdy. The load sensor needs to be connected to a converter before connecting to the acquisition device, and the measured data can be transmitted to the acquisition device.


3、The tilt angle sensor can be used for monitoring the tilt angle of the bracket. The tilt angle sensor for monitoring the deformation of the top of the bracket should be installed under the adjustable support adjusting nut, and the tilt angle monitoring point of the bracket should be arranged on the vertical pole for axial force monitoring.
