How is the rope displacement sensor connected to the PLC?

The method of outputting signals from rope displacement sensors and PLCs is different, and analog signals need to be isolated, amplified, and converted before being input into the PLC data acquisition system; A digital displacement sensor is a traditional voltage displacement sensor that is equipped with an A/D conversion module or modified with a circuit. The output digital signal or digital coding signal can be connected to the PLC through a digital input port; The pulse signal displacement sensor is connected to the PLC through a high-speed counting port. The connection between displacement sensors and PLC should pay attention to the following points:

1、The signal type of the displacement sensor needs to be the same as the input port type of the PLC

2、There are many types of PLC, and generally PLC have digital input ports that can directly connect digital signals. If the PLC does not have an analog input port, it needs to be equipped with an analog expansion module of the same model. Generally, PLCs are equipped with 1-2 sets of analog ports.

3、During the use of displacement sensors, attention should be paid to the power supply and signal, and do not reverse them, otherwise it may damage the displacement sensor and even the PLC.

4、There are many types of sensors, including two wire, three wire, four wire, etc. When wiring, it is important to distinguish them clearly. If there are signal interference sources around the displacement sensor, a signal isolator needs to be installed.

5、During the use of PLC, attention should be paid to the input and output terminals of the power supply and the input and output terminals of the signal. The wiring should be strictly in accordance with the wiring color on the product label to prevent damage to the product caused by incorrect connections.
